Hello, and welcome to the Mutare Hypnosis Weight Loss Page. I am Rhonda Waters, lead Hypnotist and developer of our weight loss program. I want to lose weight. How fast can I do that with hypnosis?

We use hypnosis to create and embed mutually agreeable suggestions in the subconscious mind. These suggestions will help extinguish your triggering behaviors. There may be a suggestion to lose weight quickly, but the body has its own rhythm. Most medical studies advise a 1 to 2 pound weight loss weekly. Not only does the weight tend to stay off at that rate, but the skin also has a chance to shrink as much as it can. Additionally, a slower rate means extra time to allow development and imprinting of desirable habits (about four weeks). All this being said, individuals vary greatly in what constitutes in normal weight loss for them. It took time to put on weight. It will take time to get it off.

Why should I use hypnosis for weight loss?

Hypnosis is safe and easy, and requires no supplements or ongoing expense. You may actually find that your grocery bill is lower, and your food choices are healthier and less expensive. Thus the bottom line of your dollar may be ultimately improved. Also, we teach you self -hypnosis so that you can continue with your own suggestions, not only for weight loss, but also for other things you would like to achieve in your life. Even if you are on one of the popular commercial eating plans that you like, Hypnosis can help you stick with it so that those newly acquired habits become lifelong habits.

 

What if I just need to lose a few pounds for a wedding?

If you have a simple trigger, and come to us in time to work on it, we can probably help you lose those few pounds without feeling deprived. This would require fewer sessions, and your success may depend on many factors, not the least of which is that you are probably already significantly stressed.

 

Some hypnotists say that they can do a weight loss program in one or two sessions. Why don’t you?

Referring to the question above regarding a small amount of weight to lose, we actually can do fewer sessions. But if you are a lifelong dieter you know that this is just a yo-yo solution. Over the course of six weeks we take your eating program and your triggers and thoroughly examine them. We make adjustments in our suggestions to extinguish any hidden objections that your subconscious mind is holding onto – – such as the idea that you must eat all that you can at one sitting because you hold onto a fear in your younger life when you may not have had enough food; or your parents told you to eat everything on your plate because poor people in China were starving. We find that some of these personal myths take a little bit more time, and go beyond the conventional triggers for overeating. *

 

What if I need to gain weight?

Many people, for one reason or another, do not or cannot eat enough, and are at risk for malnutrition. dental disease, and worse. Hypnosis can help with appetite, compliance, and appropriate food selection. Many times these people are under a doctor’s care.

 

Will you give me a recording of my session?

No. But your Hypnotist may allow you to record some of the induction and all of the suggestions on your own device.

 

Do you guarantee your Hypnosis?

No one can guarantee that anything will work. Even blood pressure medications prescribed by your doctor are only about 45% effective for most people. Because hypnosis relies on the acceptance of suggestions by the client, we have no guarantee that you will accept all of our suggestions. Intellectually, you may think that they are very good suggestions, but subconsciously there may be what we call “an objection.” As best we can we will attempt to uncover with you your internal objections and counter them effectively. It is often said that hypnosis is not magic, but it can be magical. Our outcomes will require work and perseverance on your part, but unlike your previous efforts at weight loss, this time they can be lasting.

 

What additional services do you offer with respect to Hypnosis for weight loss?

We offer behavioral strategies as standard, and stress intervention as appropriate through education, subliminal recordings and affirmations. Additional services include frequency-specific cold laser on acupoints as part of a weight loss protocol; as well as laser for calming, and Transcutaneous Acupuncture with Shealy Bliss Oils for general health.
